To the pro staff of Quail Creek. Undoubtedly the most professional and helpful of any we have worked with. Tim Fleming, Kyle Flinton and Aaron Kristopeit worked as a team to coordinate and manage the event. Excellent work.
Dr. Larry Mills told the story of the divine convergence of his life and David Bakers in a compelling way. Larry’s 42 years of history at SNU and his presence on game day continue to tell the story of two magnanimous lives….David’s and Larry’s.
The registration and check-in team of Edna Baker, Margaret Eaton, Judy Mills, Stephanie Eaton, Kathy Loyd, Betty Cypert, Marcia Mosshart and Mary Jane Cox made everyone feel very welcomed and efficiently got all the golfers through the line with all their goodies.
Rick Jones, donated one of his “babies” for the 5th hole long drive contest…the Snake Eyes Driver. More than that, he worked constantly during the day to make things work well. Thanks, Rick.
The SNU Basketball team, led by head coach Mike Broughton and assistants Mike Collins and Shane Paben were everywhere helping and generally making the whole day go better. Excellent job, gentlemen.
A special word of thanks to Judy Mills who worked many hours preparing the displays about the life of David Baker. She also made many of the fine things to make the Presentation banquet truly beautiful as well as taking many of the pictures posted on this site. Judy is a rare treasure.
Kristin Willingham and Gary Frazier spent the whole tournament faithfully watching for “holes-in-one” on #12 and #16. Thank you Kristin and Gary.
The course photography by Carol Wight and Eunice Trent was spectacular.
A special note of thanks to Shirley Phelps, who spent hours behind the scenes calling players for information and managing the data base.
To all the Sponsors and Players thanks for making it a fun and profitable day.
And thanks to the Baker Volunteer Committee: Claud Cypert, Bruce South, Mike Loyd, Mike Broughton, Doug Eaton, Jim Southworth, David Alexander, Rusty Davis, Johnny Westmoreland and Bill Bumpus.
And a tip of the golf cap to Danny Thomason who gathered up the many prizes awarded to all the skill winners and arranged for the auction item on each table.
